Jon and I shared a room in the house we stayed at in Nurnberg for about 15 years running (bar the one year of the transplant).Being similar age and build (a bit rotund!)we had both developed a tendency to snore. Actually, it was more like two supertankers in fog! We had a theory that it was like white noise, we cancelled each other out most of the time. This year I was worse and it kept Jon awake. Not wanting to throw something at me across the room (although tempted) he decided the best way to get his own back was to phone my mobile from under the covers and wake me that way. I just kept rejecting the call (being half awake)and going back to sleep. It took Jon three attempts to get the message across!!! The next night he was worse and the tables turned!
