We will always remember and miss you Jon, and all your great qualities. Energy, passion and strength: We realised you were a ball of fire in action in whatever you tackled. We saw this so many times ;even in the early days at Sandown Park around 1980’s. I will never forget when you turned up with a large cash till to take the money for the first all colour Irvine catalogue ! Never did I see such energy before and the mark of a true salesman. Something new, encouraging and nurturing: Jon you were always the first person to scout out new items and at Nuremberg you personally would give us much encouragement to bring out new items; you took our packs to Nuremberg and reminded us that new products are the lifeblood of the business. Last year was a great example as you used our offices to organise a sales training session for the new sales people. It seemed you always knew what to do to make us tick and for us it was a wonderful fun experience. Thankyou! We heard it was a smaller than usual Ripmax stand at Nuremberg this year ( 2013) and when Vivienne went down to see it she said to Jon “it was much bigger (stand) than she thought” to which you said, “that’s what all the women say” It was our gift to have known you, worked with you, been alongside you and most important to have been your friend.
